Developer repos
GitHub shows you where a project stands today. It will never tell you that the last commit was in March, that the maintainer stopped answering issues, or that a thousand stars arrived after the work stopped. We take dated snapshots so a slope can appear — once we have more than one.
Dormant is not an insult. Plenty of good software is finished and has needed no commits in years — the point is that you get to decide what that means for you, instead of guessing from a star count.
Most of these have fewer than two snapshots in our log, so there is no trend to draw yet. Stars and last-commit dates below are what GitHub reports now — measured, but not yet a history we kept.
